Manufacturing previews its new high resolution charger scanner
CMC's BlockPLUS is the most
accurate lathe charger scanner in the industry. It is another example
of a technology innovation coupled with decades of lathe experience
resulting in a new level of accuracy and performance in veneer lathe
systems.
Using a new generation of laser technology, BlockPLUS accurately scans
every surface detail to fractions of an inch. This detailed profile
is then used by the lathe system to reduce peeling cycle time and increase
recovery.
Highest resolution and
accuracy in the industry
The BlockPLUS™ profiler and
lathe charger control system, uses four block profile laser (BPL) scanners,
each capable of collecting 512 data points at the rate of 450 scans
per second. Each scanner collects at least 122,000 points to define
¼ of the block length.
